Deepakbhai Desai - Buddha at the Gas Pump Interview

Deepakbhai Desai is the current representative of Akram Vignan, a direct path to Self-realization.

Born in Gujarat, India, Deepakbhai met Dada Bhagwan (the originator of Akram Vignan) at the age of 17, and attained Self-realization from him in the Gnan Vidhi ceremony. He credits these two events as the great turning points of his life. 

Previously burdened by a shy and introverted nature, Deepakbhai became able to successfully complete his engineering studies and, over the coming decades, to build three successful engineering businesses. 

Simultaneously, Deepakbhai was nurtured in further spiritual development by Dada Bhagwan, and Niruma Amin (Dada's closest disciple). With all available free time, Deepakbhai attended satsangs (spiritual discourse), performed seva (selfless service), and engaged in continuous Self-introspection -- devotedly seeking to understand the full dimension of Dada's spiritual science. 

In 1987, before Dada Bhagwan's passing, Niruma and Deepakbhai were given the spiritual abilities to conduct satsangs and Gnan Vidhi ceremonies on Dada's behalf. Together, they carried on Dada's mission with tremendous harmony and spirit of oneness until Niruma's sudden passing in 2006. Since then, Deepakbhai has officiated over a burgeoning spiritual community (Simandhar City, Gujarat, India), celibate male and female groups, teen and children's programs, and ongoing world-wide satsang and Gnan Vidhi programs for seekers of Self-realization. 

Deepakbhai is beloved by all who meet him, and is renowned both for his extraordinary levels of awareness and extreme humility.

His remarkable spiritual achievements are demonstrated in every instance of his selfless life.

Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of this revered God. Today He is worshiped and known in various forms and by various names. Many people lead their lives in his devotion, worshipping him, yet it has been seen that they worry a lot even after having sought refuge at the feet of their beloved Lord Krishna. His devotees chant, “I surrender to Lord Krishna.”

 

Lord Krishna has said, ‘Why do you worry ? Krishna will do what He wants to.’ This understanding needs to be maintained.

 

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan says,” If a true devotee of God has worries, he would even scold his God, “You have always told us not to worry, yet I still have worries, why is that?” This is what he would say out of his true devotion and surrender for his dear Lord.

The whole scope of all systems of yoga (and each religion represents one) is to remove ignorance and allow the Ātman to restore its own nature. The chief helps in this liberation are abhyāsa and vairāgya. Vairāgya is non-attachment to life, because it is the will to enjoy that brings all this bondage in its train; and abhyāsa is constant practice of any one of the yogas.

Our tendencies are the result of past conscious actions. A child is born with certain tendencies. Whence do they come? No child is born with a tabula rasa--with a clean, blank page--of a mind. The page has been written on previously. The old Greek and Egyptian philosophers taught that no child came with a vacant mind. Each child comes with a hundred tendencies generated by past conscious actions. The child did not acquire these in this life, and we are bound to admit that it must have acquired them in past lives.

INTRODUCTION OF THE GNANI

On a June evening in 1958 at around six o'clock, Ambalal Muljibhai Patel, a family man, contractor by profession, was sitting on a bench of a busy platform number three at Surat train station. Surat is a city in south Gujarat, a western state in India. What happened within the next forty-eight minutes was phenomenal. Spontaneous Self-realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. During this his ego melted totally and completely. From that time onwards he became completely detached from all thoughts, speech and acts of Ambalal and he became a living instrument of The Lord for salvation of the world through the path of knowledge. He called this Lord, Dada Bhagwan. "This Lord is fully manifest within me," He told, to all he met. Furthermore he added that, "The same Lord, Dada Bhagwan exists in all living beings. The difference between you and me is that in me, The Lord has expressed fully in me and in you he is yet to manifest." Who are we? What is God? Who runs this world? What is karma? What is liberation? Etc. All the world's spiritual questions were answered. Thus nature offered absolute vision to the world through the medium of Shree Ambalal Muljibhai Patel.

Ambalal was born in Tarasali a suburb of the city of Baroda and raised in Bhadran, Central Gujarat. Although a contractor by profession, and married to Hiraba, his life at home and with the world was exemplary prior to his Self Realisation. After becoming Self Realized and attaining the state of a Gnani, (The Awakened One, Jnani in Hindi) his body became a public charitable trust.

Throughout his life he lived by the principle that there should not be any commerce in religion, and in all commerce there must be religion. Also he never took any money from anyone for his own use. He used the profits from his business to take his devotees for pilgrimage in various parts of India.

His words became the foundation for the new direct step less path to realization called Akram Vignan. Through his divine original scientific experiment (The Gnan Vidhi) he imparted this knowledge to others within two hours. Thousands have received his grace through this process and thousands continue to do so even now. He called it Akram Vignan (Step less Science, elevator path). Akram means without steps and kram means to rise step by step. Akram means lift or elevator path. Kram here means orderly, step by step spiritual progress. Akram is now recognized as a direct shortcut to the bliss of the Self. A shortcut.
